Adidas announces possible sale of Reebok

The German company Adidas AG announced the possible sale of the Reebok brand.”As part of developing its new five-year strategy, Adidas has begun evaluating strategic alternatives for Reebok. These strategic alternatives include both the potential sale of Reebok and the fact that Reebok will remain part of the company,” it said.

The final decision will be announced in March 2021.

Earlier, the German edition of Manager Magazin reported that the American VFC (Timberland and North Face) or the Chinese Anta International Group Holdings could act as buyers. The deal was valued at approximately two billion euros.

Adidas AG bought Reebok in 2006 for $ 3.8 billion.
