An elderly man was sentenced to 2.5 years for sexual crimes against children – he also took young people to their dacha and offered them alcohol and tobacco

The District Court of South Karelia sentenced an elderly man to imprisonment for 2 years 4 months for the sexual exploitation of children.

The convict drove children over the age of 13 up to 15 years old in their summer cottage. The trips were made in 2017-2019. The man offered alcohol and cigarettes to his guests. He touched teenagers, touching their buttocks, breasts and genital area.

According to adolescents, there were no other adults besides the convict at the dacha, while there were often several children.

The age difference between the offender and his victims was about 50 years.
