Anni Sinnemäki will remain as Deputy Mayor of Helsinki

The Greens re-elected Anni Sinemäki as Deputy Mayor of Helsinki in charge of the urban environment. This post of politician held the previous four years.

Now the police are investigating suspicions of exceeding official powers by Sinnemäki. It is connected with the fact that in the Meilahti district the city issued a special permit for the construction of a house to the actress Pihle Viitala , with whom Sinnemäki is familiar. She herself denies any involvement in the decision on this issue.

The winning Coalition Party in the Finnish capital at its meeting on Wednesday nominated Daniel Sazonov for the post of Deputy Mayor for Social Health. The coalition Johana Vartiainen will become the next mayor of the city of Helsinki.
