Finland detects 103 new cases of coronavirus

In Finland, 103 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported, according to the THL Department of Health and Social Development.

The total number of infections since the start of the pandemic is now 94,026.

Most of the new infections, 42, are in the Helsinki and Uusimaa Medical District HUS. This is followed by the Pirkanmaa region, where 16 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded.

The first dose of the vaccine was received by almost 2.9 million people, that is, 51.9% of the population. 13.4% of the country's inhabitants were vaccinated with two doses.

Three new coronavirus-related deaths have been reported today. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 is now 967.

43 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals, of which 12 are in intensive care units.

Due to the improvement in the epidemiological situation in most of the Uusimaa region, restrictions on mass events and maintaining a safe distance were completely lifted yesterday.
