Finland reports 324 new cases of coronavirus infection

There have been 324 new cases of coronavirus infection in Finland, according to the THL Health and Social Development Authority.
3,571 new cases have been recorded in the last two weeks COVID-19 infection, which is 800 fewer cases than in the previous 14 days.
Over the past week, 1,800 infected have been confirmed. This is about the same as in the previous seven days.
THL previously reported that the number of tests carried out in Finland dropped markedly during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Most infections per capita were recorded in the territory of the medical district of Helsinki and Uusimaa, as well as in Varsinais-Suomi and the Aland Islands. The smallest number of infections per capita was recorded in Kainuu, South Pohjanimaa and Central Pohjanmaa.
A total of 38,000 infected have been detected in Finland since the beginning of the epidemic.
