Russia imposed personal sanctions against the UK in response to similar measures from the British side. This is stated on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. – indicated in the message.

The ministry noted that Moscow’s restrictions are related to London’s personal sanctions against Russians, imposed in December 2020 and April 2021 due to “alleged human rights violations” in Chechnya, as well as within the framework approved by the British Parliament “Provisions on Global Anti-Corruption Sanctions.”
