Hollywood film based on novel by Finnish writer Antti Tuomainen
The leading role in the film based on the book “The Hare Factor” is to be played by the famous American actor Steve Carell.
A crime novel full of black humor by a Finnish writer Antti Tuomainen “The Hare Factor” is going to be filmed in the USA.The film will be produced by Amazon Studios and Mandeville Films, and will star Steve Carell, an American actor , best known for his roles in The Office and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
The writer himself will become one of the producers of the future picture.According to the Deadline website, the name of the protagonist will be the same as in the original – Henri Koskinen.The novel tells the story of an insurance analyst who inherits an amusement park from his brother.
The Hare Factor is the first novel in a trilogy conceived by the writer.The second book, which will be called The Elk Formula, is due out on August 19, with the third part planned for next year.
Antti Tuomainen is one of the most successful Finnish writers on the international book market.His books have been published in more than 30 countries around the world.
He won the 2020 Best Nordic Detective Award, and a year earlier he was named Europe’s Funniest Writer by the British newspaper The Times.
