In Finland, 164 new cases of infection have been diagnosed in the last knocking, according to the Department of Health and Social Development THL. Over the past two weeks, 937 more cases of infection have been recorded than in the previous 14 days.
One person has died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths is 346.
There are 28 people in the hospital, of which eight are in the intensive care unit.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 10,702 cases of COVID-19 infection have been diagnosed. The number of confirmed infections per 100,000 people in the past two weeks now stands at 27.2, which exceeds the Finnish entry limit of 25 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
Since the start of the pandemic, more than a million coronavirus tests have been performed in Finland. According to THL, up to 20,000 tests are currently being performed per day.
