In Germany, the British “agent of Russian intelligence” was detained

According to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, at least one episode has been established when, no later than November 2020, a suspect sent working documents to a representative of Russian intelligence in exchange for a remuneration

A Briton suspected of working for Russian intelligence, according to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

According to the agency, the British David S. worked at the Embassy shaving in Germany. At least one episode has been identified when , no later than November 2020, a suspect forwarded working documents to a Russian intelligence officer in exchange for a fee.

The espionage suspect was detained on August 10 in Potsdam, near Berlin. His workplace was searched. The arrest of the alleged spy was the result of an investigation by the Federal Republic of Germany and the UK.

London police say that it is a 57-year-old Briton. He is suspected of “participating in intelligence activities” under German law.
