Norwegian military guards borders from Swedes infected with coronavirus

The Norwegian Armed Forces have begun guarding the state border with Sweden. This is reported by the radio station Sveriges Radio, emphasizing that this has not happened since the Second World War. For decades, the border between the countries has been open.

Now Swedish citizens can only enter Norway after passing the Covid-19 test. The border at checkpoints is guarded by the Norwegian military. Earlier, the National Council of Health and Welfare of Sweden reported that in the first half of this year, COVID-19 ranked third as a cause of death in the kingdom after cardiovascular disease and cancer.

As of December 1, Norway was recorded 36,150 cases of coronavirus infection. The total number of deaths from coronavirus infection in Norway is 332.
