One night in one of Gaudí’s creations in Barcelona for free
The creations of the great Antoni Gaudi are scattered throughout Barcelona (and not only). Casa Vicens is proud to be the first home designed by an architect. Built between 1883 and 1885, it is now being converted into a tourist accommodation thanks to Airbnb. The company, together with its owner Emily, makes a unique experience possible by opening a house, much of which was previously closed to the public.
Casa Vicens was conceived as a summer home for a Catalan family. This was Gaudí’s first major work at a time when the Gràcia district was still separate from the city. Now the unusual house is the pride of Barcelona. Its owner, Emily, became part of the team that took responsibility for turning it into a home museum. She prepares to tell the guests the secrets that hide the rooms and corridors of this building. Previously, most of the house remained closed for 136 years.
Airbnb gives one lucky person and his companion the opportunity to spend the night at Casa Vicens for 1 euro. Reservations will open at 16:00 Spanish time on 12 July. The winner will be the first person to book on Airbnb at https://www.airbnb.es/rooms/49121662?source_impression_id=p3_1620905354_r2rJ9aOEgH%2Fyq5A1&guests=1&adults=1.
This welcome offer will include tour from the owner of the house Emily, access to all areas of the house, the opportunity to taste the menu and have coffee with croissants in the cozy garden.
