Paracetamol may soon become Finland’s most popular pain reliever

The coronavirus has also influenced the use of conventional drugs – for example, paracetamol will soon become the most popular pain reliever in Finland, displacing ibuprofen from the first place.

This became known from statistics collected by wholesale suppliers of medicines.

Already in the spring, paracetamol for some time overtook ibuprofen in popularity. This came after the French Ministry of Health warned that some anti-inflammatory drugs could worsen the condition of patients with coronavirus.

According to the Finnish Pharmacists’ Union, the public debate that followed this announcement had an immediate impact on consumer behavior.
