Parliament approved the reform of social health

The reform of social health, which several previous government structures tried to implement, was finally adopted by parliament.
At the plenary session, the deputies approved the reform with 105 votes 77.
The goal of the reform is to reduce inequalities in the well-being and health of citizens, as well as improve access to services and contain rising costs.
The reform will transfer responsibility for the provision of social and health services, as well as the organization of services rescue 21 new welfare zones and the city of Helsinki.
Services will move from municipalities to welfare zones in early 2023.
