Parliament will go on vacation after voting on new rules for entering the country

MPs will vote today on a new model of entry into the country. It defines how it will be possible to travel to Finland in the future as the pandemic continues.
The proposal concerns the conditions of entry, such as requirements for testing for coronavirus and presenting a coronavirus passport. The Social Health Commission has made some softening of the government’s proposal.
According to the new model, residents of safe, that is, the so-called green countries will be able to freely enter Finland. Relaxation of restrictions is divided into opinions in parliament.
After today’s vote, the deputies will go on vacation. The next plenary meeting will take place on September 7.
