Politics has learned the details of Operation London Bridge in the event of the death of Elizabeth II.

This year the Queen turned 95 years old. The first in line of the heir to the British throne – Prince Charles of Wales publications came across documents detailing the operation, known under the code name “London Bridge”, which will begin in the event of the Queen’s death.

According to Politico, the day of the death of Elizabeth II will be called “D-Day”. Buckingham Palace will report the incident to employees and government officials using the code phrase “London Bridge is destroyed.” The Prime Minister will be one of the first to receive it.

The Royal Family will issue an “Legal Notice”. Thereafter, Whitehall flags will be lowered no later than ten minutes later, as otherwise there is a risk of “causing public anger.”
