Residents of the Czech Republic were able to vote in the elections from the car

People who are in quarantine due to the covid-19 epidemic in specially created places were able to vote from the car in elections to the Czech Senate and regional authorities. However, drive-in turnout was low.

In Prague, car polling stations were open from 07:00 to 15:00 in every district. According to Clara Dlubalova, spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior, an average of 250 people in each region of the Czech Republic have taken the opportunity to vote from their car. Polling stations will operate on Friday from 14:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday from 8:00 to 14:00. Voting will take place on Thursday in special constituencies in nursing homes and similar institutions closed due to the coronavirus.
