Russian Foreign Ministry: Germany’s attempts to justify itself according to the OPCW report are sewn with white thread
Berlin’s attempts to justify temporary inconsistencies in the draft report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on the case of the alleged poisoning of Russian citizen Alexei Navalny is sewn with white thread. As reported by TASS, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova wrote about this on her Telegram channel.
“This is how everyone draws on their knees, corrects, changes places, removes facts, throws fakes. do not respond to requests from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia – because everything is sewn with white thread. The most fantastic thing is that Germany constantly speaks for the OPCW, “the diplomat noted. in the draft report of the OPCW in the part about the alleged poisoning of Navalny are associated with an error in the date and will be corrected in the second edition of the document.
Recall that on July 10, Zakharova reported inconsistencies in the version about the poisoning of Navalny, which the OPCW technical secretariat could not explain to the Russian side. In particular, the document indicated that the organization’s secretariat sent a group to provide technical assistance “in connection with the suspicion of poisoning a Russian citizen” at the request of Germany on August 20, 2020 – that is, on the day of the incident with Navalny. At the same time, according to Zakharova, the preparation of such an application from the Federal Republic of Germany to the OPCW should have taken considerable time and this could not happen immediately.
