Tibidabo Amusement Park celebrates its 120th anniversary with a grand light show

Tibidabo Amusement Park is perhaps one of the places in the city that takes adults into childhood. It provides an opportunity not only to experience a storm of emotions on the rides, but also to admire Barcelona from a bird’s eye view. This year, Tibidabo celebrates his 120th birthday, and on this occasion invites during August to a grandiose laser show that tells the story of the famous amusement park.

This show is called “Tibidabo 120 años” imagination of light and sound effects, is the perfect pastime on sultry summer nights in Barcelona. Tibidabo 120 años takes the audience back to 1901, when the highest point of the Parque natural de Collserola natural park became famous with the opening of this amusement park. It all started with the opening of the funicular, a form of transport that was innovative for the time. After that, the first entertainment facilities and points of sale gradually began to open.

In the early years after its opening, Tibidabo Park was filled with simple amusements such as telescopes, swings, bowling, crooked mirror rooms, and slot machines. Decades later, it began to adapt to the changes, but retained its soulfulness, still being the favorite park of the locals. The show just talks about how this place has changed and how it continues to amaze.
