Today can get hotter than yesterday

On Wednesday, Kouvola recorded another record this summer – 27 consecutive days of heat. The heat in Finland is considered to be the daytime temperature above 25 degrees.

Hyvinkää also recorded this summer’s temperature record of 33.9 degrees. Forecasters predict that today this record may be broken.

Thursday promises to be the hottest day of the current week.

In the southern and central regions, the temperature will be over 30 degrees. It will be hottest in the southeast. In the eastern regions, there are tropical nights near the lakes when the temperature does not drop below 25 degrees. At the same time, in the western and northern regions, the thermometer reads 15 degrees or less at night.

On Thursday, a thunderstorm front will cover the north of the country. The rest of Finland is clear and sunny.
