Vaccination of young people started in many cities

Coronavirus vaccination of 16-year-olds has started in several cities.

For example, in Helsinki, people aged 16 to 24 can sign up for the vaccine starting today. In Vantaa, Turku, Kotka and Lahti anyone over the age of 16 can get vaccinated.

In Pori and Oulu, vaccinations are open to people over 20.

Young people are also advised to get vaccinated despite the summer heat and holidays, because:

1. The more people get accustomed, the less likely a new lockdown is.

2. It will be possible to travel abroad on a student exchange program or to rest.

3. The vaccine protects against severe disease.

4. Meeting friends will be safer.

5. By booking now, the full course of vaccination will be completed faster.

6. This way you can protect other people and achieve herd immunity.
