Video games campus to be set up in Madrid

In April this year, Madrid City Council approved the creation of a video games campus, which will serve as a space for coworking, video game presentations, advisory services and esports events. The space, which will appear in 2022, will be located in three pavilions, making it the largest video game campus in Europe.

The campus is part of a project dedicated to the development of this cluster. It brings together large companies, developers and talented experts. It is also planned to expand cooperation with the aim of developing specific initiatives and projects aimed at increasing investment attractiveness and creating quality employment in this sector.

Vice-Mayor of Madrid Begonia Villasis recalled that 33% of the projects of the Spanish video game industry are concentrated in Madrid. “The campus will help build a robust video game industry,” she added.
