Working Group recommends: Stores and other private businesses in the metropolitan area should require customers to wear a mask

In the capital region, the mask regime has been strengthened due to the worsening epidemiological situation.

The Corona Epidemic Coordination Group recommends that private businesses require their clients to wear masks everywhere. The recommendation applies to those enterprises in the premises of which customers are located, that is, for example, shopping centers, cultural and sports facilities.

At the same time, according to the current law, it is impossible to force people to wear masks in public places, for example, in transport, libraries and museums, but the authorities strongly recommend wearing masks in them.

It will also be tightened control over catering establishments. In the future, the authorities will conduct an inspection of those restaurants in which infections were recorded. Places that do not comply with the instructions of the authorities may be closed.

Citizens are also advised to exercise extreme caution when organizing private events.

Stores: security guards checking for masks until there are

Retailers say they don’t have the resources to check for masks on customers yet. At the same time, they intend to remind customers of their benefits.

Vendors also say that security measures have been strengthened in stores, in particular, sanitizers are offered to customers everywhere.
