Live music in the open air, a variety of applied arts in the museum and a refreshing aperitif. What could be better for a summer Saturday afternoon? All this can be achieved by visiting the traditional cycle Momentos Alhambra Aperitivos-Thyssen, organized by the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. Every Saturday from June 19 to July 31 at 13:00 guests are welcome on the museum terrace.
A special program is being prepared for guests this year. The invited musicians will interpret a selection of paintings from the museum’s collection and tell the audience about them through music. For this cultural initiative, special paintings were chosen: paintings ahead of their time, works with riddles that do not have an exact explanation, as well as paintings containing unusual details. Each musician invited to the cycle will tell guests the stories hidden in these special works of art.
